2026 HGSA Annual Scientific Meeting - Travel Grant

We are pleased to announce we will be offering a Travel Grant to assist a WA member to attend the 2026 HGSA Annual Scientific Meeting in New Zealand.

 

Applicants must submit an abstract.

Only financial members of the HGSA WA are eligible to apply.

 

One grant of $2000 will be awarded to a WA member attending the conference

in person.

 

The recipient will be asked to give a short presentation (30-60 minutes) of their submission to the HGSA WA branch at an afternoon seminar.

 

*Priority will be given to those members who have not been previous recipients of a grant or are early in their careers. Students and recent graduates who are submitting an abstract are highly encouraged to apply.

 

To apply for the Travel Grant, please provide the following:

  1. Your Curriculum Vitae.
  2. The registration package chosen (e.g. SIG day, single day or full registration).
  3. Your abstract as submitted to the HGSA.
  4. A statement outlining the benefit you will gain from attending the meeting (maximum of 200 words).
  5. Disclosure of other applications made (or intending to make) for funding or grants to attend this conference.

Applicants will be advised of the outcome shortly after the closing date.

Grant will be dispersed by electronic transfer once the successful applicant has accepted the grant, provided bank details and confirmed their registration.
